SEXY AUSSIE SWIM TEAM BARE THE FLESH FOR GOLD Go Back >>

Amidst a flurry of world record performances at the Commonwealth Games trials in Sydney, racing suits have moved away from traditional performance fabrics. After years of experimenting with full coverage swim wear in expensive hi tech fabrics researchers have found that hairless human skin offers the least drag and resistance in the water.

Sexy competition swimwear

Revolutionary swimwear maker Babelife.com has been in talks with the Australian swim team and looks set to provide the Aussie girls with their most dangerous weapon yet. A new fabric developed for the suits by Babelife.com called "Babelite" use an ultra fine weave and said to be as close to human skin as possible.

The ultra brief styles have caused huge controversy amongst the community who say they are inappropriate and an unwanted distraction at competitive events. Those who have used the suits say their times have improved by up to .5 of a second and put it down to a combination of freedom of movement, reduced drag and a physiological advantage gained while on the blocks. Games officials are yet to comment on whether the suits will be allowed in competition as their is some concerns that broadcasters may object to the amount of exposed flesh.

Babelife director Tim McGee says " The proof is in the performance. Our swimmers should be allowed to swim in whatever they like if it means securing gold medals for our country and maintaining Australia's position as the premier swimming nation". This view is echoed by champion swimmers who have broken personal bests since trialing the suits over the past few weeks and are confident that "Babelite" will ensure optimum performance.

Go for gold Australia!
