The FHM Girls Next Door brought Bondi Beach to a stand still when they came to the rescue of frustrated drivers who are constantly filling parking meters with loose change.
Ten sexy Girl Next Door finalists adorned in Babelife bikinis hit the streets of Bondi Beach to save the day, gold coins at the ready to top up meters and take the pain out of parking. Men rushed to pose with the girls who strutted down Hall Street with their pink Babelife change bags. Robert Watt from Cronulla revealed to The Daily Telegraph that he was delighted he wouldn't be getting a parking ticket. "We need more of this all over Sydney," Mr Watt said. "More girls in bikinis and less parking meters. i get parking fines all the time. It's so frustrating."
New figures revealed that NSW councils reaped more than $200 million from motorists last year alone in parking fines. A number of metropolitan councils seem to have made parking enforcement a virtual industry since receiving the power to collect revenue from parking fines. But the FHM Girls Next Door foiled their dastardly plans by feeding meters and bringing traffic to a standstill in their gold Vegas Honey bikinis.
This once-off act of kindness, which mimicked the Gold Coast meter-maids of the 80's brought a smile to faces of many and hopefully will put over-eager meter inspectors out of a job.
